idfive’s Development Process

Understanding:

We begin our engagements by working to understand as much as possible about the current marketing and web site situations, past performance of the web site or advertising campaigns, the attitudes and opinions of both internal and external constituencies, and the technological infrastructure of our clients.

Planning:

After we’ve developed an understanding of the situation, we then develop our overall strategic and creative approaches, as well as a comprehensive project plan and timeline.

Creating:

Once the strategic and creative approaches have been agreed to, our creative development begins. Depending on the project, this phase can include everything from information architecture, graphic design, and application requirements to comprehensive media strategies and media planning.

Building:

After receiving approval on the elements developed during the Creating phase, idfive then gets to work developing the elements of the project. Again, depending on the project this can take many forms from installing and integrating a Content Management System (CMS) to coding links into a social network to developing assets for an advertising campaign.

Testing:

Before launching the project, idfive employs a sophisticated series of testing and quality control protocols (including an online QC system that allows us to identify, track, and resolve issues) in order to assure quality and effectiveness. This phase can also include usability testing, focus groups, and other methods where our work is tested on real users and prospective audience members.

Launch & Measurement:

Following the Testing phase and the resolution of all identified issues, we then launch our work to the public. But our work doesn’t stop there - we also work with our clients to develop quantifiable success metrics and gather actionable data about the success of the program. We believe that measurement is a vital part of our process of continuous learning and refinement.

Refining:

Based on the initial success metrics determined at the beginning of the program and the data gathered during the execution of the program, idfive will continue to refine creative and media strategies to obtain optimal results.

Evolving:

We believe that the key to the success of any communications program is its ability to grow and change as the organization evolves. As part of its engagements, idfive provides a plan that specifies future milestones where we can analyze performance and suggest improvements and enhancements.
